A concrete candle is a hand-poured product made by setting 100% natural soy wax inside a cast concrete vessel, used for both light and decoration. Unlike glass or metal containers, concrete brings a matte surface, a natural texture and a quietly minimalist presence that suits modern interiors.
At Studio Craftisan we cast every concrete candle by hand in our workshop in Seferihisar, Izmir. Each vessel comes out of its own mould, cures, is sanded by hand, and is then filled with natural soy wax and a wooden wick.

How Concrete Candles Are Made
The concrete mix is prepared and cast by hand. Once cured, the vessel is sanded, the wick is fixed in place, and melted soy wax blended with natural fragrance is poured in. Because the whole process is done by hand, the surface texture and tone of each piece differ slightly - and those differences are what make every candle one of a kind.

Caring for a Concrete Candle
- On the first burn, let the top surface liquefy fully to the edges. This prevents tunnelling for the life of the candle.
- Trim the burnt tip to about 5 mm before every burn.
- Never burn for more than 4 hours at a stretch.
- Concrete can warm up - use a heat-resistant coaster.
